Based on the research of two Nobel prizes, Leopold Ruzicka – who during the mid-1920's studied the molecular structure of musk— and Linda B. Buck – awarded in 2004 alongside Richard Axel, for their discoveries in scent as a code and a subtle form of communication through volatile molecules— Julian Bedel developed this revolutionary concept of musk as a personal amplifier. This compound of pheromone messengers helps volatilize each individual's natural aroma, creating a unique scent signature that varies from person to person. An exclusive formula of Fueguia's plant-origin musk was developed specifically for both Paysandú and New York, representing the pinnacle of sustainable fragrance innovation.
True to Fueguia's mission of botanical research and scientific innovation, the ingredients were produced at Fueguia Botany in Manantiales, Uruguay. Marcela and Carqueja, ingredients never before used in perfumery, were extracted through Super Critical CO2 at Fueguia's high-end facilities. Marcela, traditionally used by the Charrúas people as a medicinal plant, remains a symbol of cultural heritage across Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Argentina, honoring ancestral botanical wisdom in modern luxury perfumery.
Limited edition numbered bottles: Editions of the first batch, I-XXII, are numbered up to the first 315 units, making this a true collector's fragrance for the conscious luxury consumer.
