The high-waisted, wide-legged Vargas Pant is a Gabriela Hearst Classic. It has a dramatic look as it flares out from the leg. An artisanal, custom herringbone stitch holds down the inverted pleats that extend from the waistband.

Linen is a natural fiber from the flax plant and is one of the oldest cultivated plant fibers. It has exceptional ability to keep skin cool in warm weather, due to its airflow, wicking, and crisp fibers that stand away from body. Twice as strong as cotton, it becomes softer over time, while maintaining its exceptional durability.

This mill has been working on its environmental impact through adopting renewable energy and reducing plastic. They are also working toward more sustainable fabrics.They have the following certifications: Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), ISO 14001 Standard of environmental management system.

This garment was made by a factory audited by LVMH & Kering, and is in progress of obtaining environmental certifications SA8000 – ISO14001 – ISO45001 & GOTS. They are highly invested in their local community and have even partnered and financed a local bakery which employs disabled individuals.
