The Madyn Dress creates a bold elegance with a slim bodice, full, sculpted sleeves and a clavicle-bearing, streamlined neckline. The fitted waistline opens up into a sculpted hip shape that elegantly sweeps into a full skirt shape to the floor. Emblazoned with a constellation of recycled sequins woven into a wool base in a scattered pattern this style defines a powerful spirit.

Wool is a renewable fiber; one sheep can produce 4-5 pounds of wool per year. Wool provides warmth by trapping heat, while simultaneously transporting moisture away from the body so skin stays dry and comfortable. It is naturally antimicrobial, so it resists odors and rarely needs washing. Its exceptional durability allows for long garment lifespan, and it can biodegrade when disposed into right soil conditions.

This family-owned mill was founded in 1733. They were the first in Italy to produce printed fabrics, and they continued to explore and innovate over the centuries. In 1913, one of the family members traveled to the Himalayas and learned of the supreme warmth of the fur from the underbelly of the cashmere goats, worn by local shepherds. He took this knowledge back to the mill, adding to the breadth of luxurious and warm fibers they produced. Today, the mill has a wastewater treatment plant and they recycle 20% of the treated manufacturing water. Their goal is to recycle 80% of the water in the future. They are capable of the following certifications: Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) - for some articles and Global Recycle Standard (GRS)- for some articles.

This garment was made in a couture artisan workshop founded by 2 sisters in Parma, Italy.
