Garment Journey

A beautifully fitted sculptural natural raffia bustier dress in multi pattern weaving panels opens up from the waist into a pleated ankle-length skirt in white re-purposed pleated cotton voile. This dress has an ethereal edge: an ode to the draped and sculpted garments worn by the subjects in the paintings that form part of Hester Diamond's collection.

Fabric

Bamboo is not only known as Earth’s fastest growing plant, but also well-recognized as as an environmentally steadfast alternative to other tropical hardwoods.

Though technically a grass, its durability is tough enough to not only be woven as a textile, but even act as a material to build homes in many parts of the world.
Cotton is a natural plant fiber that is favored for its softness, breathability and comfort. It grows in warm climates on 6 continents. High quality cotton is easy to care for, due to its ability to withstand washing, detergents and heat.

Factory

This Italian factory was founded in 2003 by three women, two of whom are sisters with impressive family lineage in fashion and garment craftsmanship. Their grandmother was a gifted talent scout who discovered Martin Margiela, among others, and their father dedicated a lifetime to the art of traditional tailoring.
